Week 2: Peace

As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."

(Luke 3:4)

PRAYER:

God of Peace,

Prepare our hearts to welcome You, the light of the world!

The peace of Christ is not only the peace that comes from Christ, but the peace that characterized the life and interactions of Jesus Christ. To live this way, we must let go of inner turmoil, and recognize the inner confidence we have been given by God.

Help us to prepare our homes and hearts for the birth of the Christ Child.

Help us to find peace in focusing our time and attention on what truly matters. Like Jesus, allow our lives to be simple and our focus to be on loving You and our neighbor.

Help us to strive towards reconciliation one relationship at a time, one conversation at a time, one sacred encounter at a time.

Jesus, grant us strength to walk in humility and bring Your peace to the world.

Amen.
